About Us

Madhukor Open Rover Scout Group was established in 2017 in Gaibandha, Bangladesh, Rgisterd with Bangladesh Scouts Rover Region with the Boy Rover Scouts Registration number 3074/2017 and Girl-in-Rover Scouts Registration number 3075/2017. It's a type of youth organization, part of the worldwide Scouting Movement, that is run by the Scout Association in the United Kingdom. Rovers are typically aged between 18 and 25 and are seen as the senior section of Scouting.

Rovers provide an opportunity for young adults to take part in a range of activities such as camping, social evenings, hikes, service projects and international travel. Rovers have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through the Rover Leadership Programme, and can work towards a range of awards such as the Queen’s Scout Award and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Rovers have a range of roles and responsibilities within Scouting, from supporting young people in their local Scout Group to taking a leading role in national and international Scouting events. Rovers are often seen as the ‘ambassadors’ of Scouting, helping to promote the values of Scouting and inspire others to take part.

Rovers are also encouraged to take part in the wider community, by volunteering with a range of organisations or taking part in social action initiatives. This is an important part of their role within Scouting, and helps to develop their skills and experience.

Overall, Rover Scouts provide a great opportunity for young adults to take part in a range of activities whilst developing their skills and knowledge. They also have the chance to become part of a global movement that is dedicated to creating a better world.
